Become an Elementary (1-6) teacher and bring the creative arts into the classroom.
In this joint M.Ed. program, which combines elementary education with the creative arts, you will discover the power and potential of integrating arts into the curriculum and classroom practice. Elementary classwork is combined with arts-related courses
to provide you with multiple paths to ensuring student success. The program emphasizes human development, content knowledge, state standards, assessment strategies, technology, inclusive learning environments, accommodation of learning styles, and creativity for student learning.
This course familiarizes students with stages of human development from childhood through adulthood. Knowledge of human development is enhanced through interaction with art materials, music, movement, drama, and writing.
