Is a career in Dance/Movement Therapy right for you?  Attend a workshop this January to learn about foundational theory, the professional field, and gain a sense of what a session looks like.  Lesley's Dance/Movement Therapy faculty will introduce the profession through experiential work, dialogue, and applications, as well as answering questions about the training process.  Learn more here.

Rachel Smart 2Rachel Smart is the 2016 Focus Award recipient for the American Dance Therapy Association's (ADTA) Multicultural and Diversity Committee.  Rachel will attend the annual ADTA Conference on full scholarship.

Megan ShafferMegan Shaffer is the recipient of a California Chapter of the American Dance Therapy Association's (CCADTA) Scholarship.  The scholarship is awarded to those individuals who are passionate about education and professional development in the field of dance/movement therapy.  For more information about the CCADTA, see their website. 

Dance Therapy Student Attends Arts Advocacy Day 2016

Sara McIntyreSara McIntyre '16, a low-residency dance therapy student from the California Bay Area, was recently awarded a scholarship from the American Dance Therapy Association to attend Arts Advocacy Day 2016 in Washington, D.C.  While in D.C. Sara attended lectures and trainings about arts funding, and met with congressional members' staff to discuss the HR 4063 Promise Act, which supports integrated therapies for veterans and their families.
