An excellent starting point for searching in many fields, ASP indexes 8,025
publications with full text for more than 4,500 of those titles. The database
contains 6,850 peer-reviewed, abstracted and indexed journals, including
embedded images, and provides coverage for most academic areas of study,
including education, psychology, economics, communications, computer sciences,
language and linguistics, arts and literature, medical sciences and biology,

ARTbibliographies Modern This database contains more than 289,000 records providing full abstracts of journal articles, books, essays, exhibition catalogs, Ph.D. dissertations, and exhibition reviews on all forms of modern and contemporary art. Information is included on artists, art movements, art history and theory, design, photography, performance art, graffiti, and crafts. Art Index Retrospective This bibliographic database cumulates citations to Art Index volumes 1-32 of the printed index published between 1929-1984. Periodical coverage includes English-language periodicals, yearbooks, and museum bulletins, as well as periodicals published in French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Dutch. In addition to articles, Art Index Retrospective indexes reproductions of works of art that appear in indexed periodicals. Art Museum Image Gallery This useful resource contains more than 96,000 high-quality images, spanning
artistic creation from 3000 B.C. to the present, with art from many cultures.
Each image has a full description, with many including curatorial text, provenance
data, and detail views for many images. The Gallery covers both fine and
decorative art. Images are rights-cleared for educational use. Biography Resource Center / Who's Who - FT This comprehensive resource contains more than 414,000 biographies on more
than 320,000 people from Gale biographical sources, periodicals, and Marquis'
Who's Who, as well as full text articles from more than 265 magazines chosen
for biographical content in a broad range of subject areas. Updated twice
a month, this database may be searched by name, nationality, ethnicity, occupation,
or gender. Child Abuse, Child Welfare, and Adoption A resource on the maltreatment, safety, permanency and well-being of children,
the database includes over 31,600 citations and abstracts from 1965 to the
present of professional literature, mainly of U.S. origin. Publication types
include books, journal articles, final reports from federally-funded grants,
conference papers, unpublished papers, reports on completed or continuing
research, as well as descriptions of service programs and prevention and
treatment strategies. Columbia International Affairs Online (CIAO) This international affairs database covers publications from 1991 onward and includes working papers from university research institutes, occasional papers from NGOs, foundation-funded research projects, proceedings from conferences, books, journals and policy briefs. Teaching materials such as original case studies by international affairs experts and course packs of background readings for history and political science classes, are included. The database is updated monthly. Contemporary Literary Criticism - FT This is an extensive full-text collection of critical essays on over 600
contemporary authors. Each entry contains a biographical/critical introduction,
listing of principal works, and sources for further study. Searchable by
author name, title, subject/genre, or critic name, the database is updated

Dictionary of Art - FT This comprehensive database provides access to the entire text of The Dictionary of Art (1996, 34 vols.) with constant additions of new material and updates to the text, plus extensive image links. The Dictionary covers all visual arts from prehistory to the 1990s and includes 45,050 articles and over 1500 color images and line drawings, as well as 40,000 links to important art images in galleries and museums around the world. Digital Dissertations Search here for citations and abstracts to doctoral dissertations and master's
theses from 1861 to the present. Dissertations submitted since 1980 include
a 350 word abstract written by the author and those submitted since 1997
also include a 24-page preview. Educator's Reference Desk Lesson Plans - FT This collection contains more than 2000 unique lesson plans which have been written and submitted by teachers from all over the United States. Lesson plans are listed by subject, including Arts, Computer Science, Foreign Language, Health, Information Literacy, Interdisciplinary, Language Arts, Mathematics, Philosophy, Physical Education, Science, Social Studies, and Vocational Education. Searches may be limited by grade level. Encyclopedia Britannica - FT An excellent starting point for many subjects, this database contains the complete full text, college level encyclopedia with more than 120,000 articles, updated and revised by EB editors and contributors; over 10,000 illustrations, including photographs, drawings, maps, and flags; and more than 75,000 definitions--including pronunciation guides and word histories--from Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary. It includes citations from the Britannica Book of the Year and a searchable Internet directory with more than 130,000 links to Web sites selected, rated, and reviewed by Britannica editors. This non-profit clearinghouse for the environmental community contains articles on the environment and links to hundreds of organizations and volunteers. fields, with almost 800,000 records from 1966 to the present. Sponsored by
the U.S. Department of Education, ERIC indexes journal articles, selected

in Spanish) from 264 publications covering 1990 to the present, with some
titles dating back to the 1980s. Articles are from newspapers, magazines
and journals of the ethnic, minority and native press. Coverage includes
a wide range of current topics and countless other social, political and
educational subjects as well as coverage of issues in Ireland, Israel and
the Middle East, Mexico, Bosnia, Armenia, China, Nigeria and the Ukraine,
among other countries. A timeline of world events from 1990 to the present
is included. Expanded Academic ASAP - FT Full-text articles from over 1,700 journals and magazines, with citations
and abstracts for many more back to 1980. It includes coverage of topics

with citations and abstracts for over 500 more are included in this database.
Articles are on a range of business subjects: finance, acquisitions & mergers,
international trade, money management, new technologies & products, local & regional
business trends, investments and banking. The database also includes directory
listings for over 150,000 companies as well as analysts’ reports on major
companies. From Infotrac. General Reference Center Gold - FT This database indexes over 700 titles, with over 400 in full-text, of general interest sources: magazines, newspaper articles, children's magazines, almanacs, encyclopedias, dictionaries, reference books and more. It includes a 20-year backfile of citations and abstracts. Global Books in Print with Reviews Search over 11,000 titles of in-print, out-of-print and forthcoming books,
audio books, and videos in this database. Searches can be limited by country
of publication and the database can be browsed by subject (juvenile, history,
computers, etc.), as well as author, title, and publisher. The database also
includes best-seller lists from Publisher’s Weekly from 1895 to 2003 and
many other features. Full-text articles on fitness, pregnancy, medicine, nutrition, disease, public health, alcohol and drug abuse, HMOs, prescription drugs and more are available here. These four databases from InfoTrac provide periodical articles and primary source materials appropriate to K-12 students. Kids Edition is for elementary students, Junior Edition for middle school and junior high students, and Student Edition for high school students. Medline - with links to Full-Text Articles This medical database offers information from such fields as medicine, nursing, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. While it contains a limited number of full-text articles, the database has abstracts from over 4,600 current biomedical journals, citations from Index Medicus, the International Nursing Index, Index to Dental Literature, PREMEDLINE, AIDSLINE, BIOETHICSLINE and HealthSTAR. Mental Measurements Yearbook MMY, published by the Buros Institute of Mental Measurements, contains the
most recent descriptive information and critical reviews of new and revised
tests from the Buros Institute’s 9th through 15th Yearbooks. The database
covers more than 2,200 commercially-available tests in categories such as
personality, developmental, behavioral assessment, neuropsychological, achievement,
intelligence and aptitude, educational, speech and hearing, and sensory motor.
Entries include test name and classification, author(s), publisher, price,
time requirements, score descriptions, levels, and intended populations and
are updated every 6 months. MLA International Bibliography Essential to the study of humanities, this database indexes critical scholarship on literature, language, linguistics and folklore from over 3500 journals, series, monographs, dissertations, bibliographies, proceedings and other materials. The database includes all records indexed from 1963 to the present, approximately 1,400,000 records. This health database provides evidence-based information about complementary
and alternative therapies. Rating scales are used to evaluate the quality
of evidence and information is incorporated in comprehensive peer-reviewed
monographs. Contributions are from more than 100 academic institutions. NetLibrary e-Books - FT This collection of approximately 7000 E-books (3500 in the public domain) available online through NetLibrary is a useful addition to the print book collection. Search by broad topics, such as "special education" or "marketing" to see a list of book titles available. Books can be downloaded and read via an E-Book reader, or read online. Books from the public collection may be printed in their entirety or from the private collection 5,000 words at a time. New York Times 1851-1999 - FT This amazing resource provides full text of the contents of the New York Times in its original layout and format from the first edition in 1851 through 1999. Each page of each issue is included and the full text of each article is searchable. New York Times Book Review - FT This Web-based database of book reviews, many by distinguished authors, provides free reviews of books published from 1996 to the present. Search by author or title. Earlier reviews are available on a per cost basis. NYPL Digital Gallery Search over 337,000 images digitized from primary sources and printed rarities
in the New York Public Library collections. These include illuminated manuscripts,
historical maps, vintage posters, rare prints and photographs, illustrated
books, printed ephemera, and more. Subject matter is arranged in broad categories
such as Arts and Literature, Cities and Buildings, Culture and Society, History
and Geography, Nature and Science. An index to the literature on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental health consequences of exposure to traumatic events, this database includes over 22,000 references (journal articles, books and book chapters) Records are searchable by keyword ("All Indexes"), author, title, and assessment instrument and include citation and abstract. Professional Collection - FT This database from InfoTrac provides full-text access to more than 300 periodicals of interest to teachers and school administrators. Subjects include arts and humanities, child and adolescent psychology, learning disabilities, school law, and science and technology. Proquest Education Journals An excellent addition to the education databases, Proquest provides access
to 397 journals in full text and/or image formats. Coverage dates from 1988
and includes many topics within the field of education. PsycARTICLES - FT The database contains more than 25,000 searchable full-text articles from 42 journals published by the APA and allied organizations. Subjects covered include general psychology and specialized, basic, applied, clinical and theoretical research in psychology. Coverage is from 1988 to the present. PsycINFO - with links to Full-Text Articles This superb database contains more than one million citations and abstracts including limited full-text linking to journal articles, book chapters, books, dissertations, and technical reports, all in the field of psychology and the psychological aspects of related disciplines, such as medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, anthropology, business, and law. Journal coverage, spanning 1887 to the present, includes international material selected from more than 1,700 periodicals written in over 35 languages. SocIndex with Full Text This new database from EBSCO provides great depth and breadth of coverage
of sociology. Sub-disciplines covered include abortion, anthropology, criminology,
cultural sociology, demography, ethnic and racial studies, gender studies,
marriage and family, politics, religion, rural sociology, social psychology,
social work, urban studies, and more. The database includes full text of
241 journals, some dating back to 1895, as well as full text of over 500
books and monographs and full text of 6711 conference papers. This database offers full text plus abstracts and indexing of an international array of peer-selected publications—now with expanded coverage of Latin American, Canadian, Asian and other non-Western art, new artists, contemporary art, exhibition reviews, and feminist criticism. 61 document projects with 1645 documents and at least 21,000 pages of additional
