Collections
This collection of approximately 70,500 volumes reflects the University's
program emphasis in the areas of education, psychology, expressive arts therapies,
human services, management and the liberal arts. Circulation period is for
28 days.
Access to the Main Library Book Collection
- Faculty, Staff, and Current Lesley Students
Current students, faculty and staff may borrow materials for a period of 28 days, with one renewal.
- Holders of Alumni Cards
These users may borrow up to 5 books from the Main Library for a period of 28 days with one renewal.
- Holders of Fenway Library Consortium Cards
These users may borrow materials for a period of 28 days with one renewal.
- Off-Campus Faculty and Students
These users may borrow materials for up to 28 days, with one renewal. Materials cannot be mailed to individuals, however, interlibrary loan may be possible through some local libraries for those who do not have access to the main campus.

The Reference Collection includes general and specialized reference sources in education, psychology, social sciences, management, and the liberal arts. Standard sources, including encyclopedias, handbooks, indexes, almanacs, dictionaries, and directories, provide a core collection of basic reference materials. Electronic resources include a number of general and specialized subject databases indexing documents, books and periodicals
Access to the Main Library Reference Collection
This collection remains in the library and is available for use on the premises
by all users who visit the main campus. Reference materials may be used in the
library; they do not circulate

This collection includes all current subscriptions to journals and periodicals,
with back issues bound or in microfilm. Most extensive journal coverage exists
in education, psychology, and expressive arts therapies. Moderate coverage exists
in the areas of human services, management, social sciences, and computers.
Liberal arts, physical sciences, and general interest periodicals are covered
selectively. The library subscribes to print and online databases which index
articles in journals and periodicals. Full text articles are available in many
of the databases.
Access to the Periodicals Collection
Print periodicals are available to all visitors who come into the library. Online access to databases containing full-text articles is available to current Lesley students and faculty.

A small collection of popular fiction and nonfiction for recreational reading
is housed on the first floor of the library. Books circulate for 28 days.

Reserves are course materials and other materials (books, articles, etc.) placed on specific loan periods by faculty each semester.
The Kresge Center for Teaching Resources supports the practice of instruction, both on campus and in the field, with its collections and services. The Center houses the Library's print and non-print collections, including the following:

The Art Institute of Boston (AIB) maintains a focused library collection, specializing in the fields of fine arts,
art history, illustration, design, and photography.
