Videos
The Lesley University Library has a selective collection of approximately
1,500 educational video titles (including a number of programs
for children and young
adults) that are available to support and enhance teaching
at Lesley University and to support students in their field placements.
These
programs are intended
for educational use and circulate to Lesley University faculty,
students, and staff. The video collection holdings can be searched
via
the
Video Catalog, as well as the FLO online catalog, along with the
rest of the library's holdings.
The Library also provides restricted access to a growing
number of online videos.

Finding Videos from Other Sources: The Media Center offers
assistance in locating other, outside sources for video rental or loan for
those who do
not have access to the
main campus,
for those
needing videos longer than one week, or for those
who would like to use videos that are not in the Library's collection.
The Media Resources Specialist has created a research
guide to selected
media resources, which includes: websites, local libraries,
distributors with rental
services, and university film/video rental centers.
Patrons make their own arrangements for rental, delivery and return.

Teaching Resources
The Teaching Resources collection consists primarily
of K-12 instructional materials, including
activity guides, textbooks,
children's periodicals,
media and other
support materials which are intended for
use in teaching and other professional placements.
Materials that are classroom specific, contain a variety of worksheets and
activities, or are intended for use by students in their placements. Print
materials that are directed entirely to the teacher, such as curriculum guides
or unit lesson plans, are usually found in the Library's Main collections.
Reference support for this collection includes directories, encyclopedias,
project indexes, media guides, Books In Print for textbooks and children's
literature, and source books for curriculum materials. All titles are accessible
to the public through the FLO online
catalog. A TRC Research Guide is also available.
