How Do I Get This Article? When you have a citation (article title, author, journal title, and issue information) in you hand and you want to know where and how you can get the whole article, follow the steps below. For example, let’s say you are interested in this article:
Search the Journals List1. In myLibrary tab of myLesley, there is a box that says Finding Articles. Click on Journals List.
Results ListIf you do not see the title of your journal on the list, go back to the myLibrary section of myLesley and choose “Get an Article” in the box that says Finding Articles to request your article through our InterLibrary Loan system. If you do see your journal title, click on the link to the right that says “Check for Full Text,” and you will see names of databases where you should be able to find that journal, or a link to the FLO Catalog which will tell you where you can get the hard copy of the journal article. Dates – Look at the date range that follows the database title. Make sure it includes the date you need. In our example, the 2004 issues of Educational Leadership should be available in EBSCOhost Academic Search Premier or Wilson OmniFile FT Mega Editon. Click on the name of the database to go there and retrieve your article. Once you are in the database, you can search for your article by selecting the year that your article published, then the issue in which it appeared. If you do not have the option to browse by year, you can search by the name of the article or the author’s last name. |
