Library Information Visiting Other LibrariesStudents need to visit libraries, often more than one, to locate essential resources. Many libraries welcome guests to view their collections. In most libraries, reference librarians who specialize in finding information are available to assist users at the library. Library holdings may be accessible by computer, using a computer in the library or via the Internet. Publicly-supported colleges and universities often allow public access to their collections for reference use within the library. Some public colleges and universities offer special borrowing privileges for state or area residents. These services may be available at no cost or for a moderate fee.
