Undergraduate College
Transfer Student Application Procedure
A student who has previously been fully matriculated in a degree program at another college or university may apply as a transfer student.
For students entering in the Fall 2009 semester or later, Lesley College will accept a maximum of 90 credits. (For students entering Lesley College prior to Fall 2009, 65 credits can be transferred.) A minimum of 120 credits are required for graduation. Most students take five courses per semester, with the majority of Lesley's courses being 3 credit classes.
Admission to Lesley College is based upon academic performance, personal and professional goals, and their relationship to the area of study. Typically, accepted transfer students have maintained, at a minimum, a 2.5 or higher cumulative grade point average in previous college-level work.

Transfer Student Application Requirements
- Application Form: Complete the application form, including the personal statement, and return it to the Lesley College Office of Admissions. (Apply online and we'll waive the $50 application fee.)
- Lesley College Supplement: This form asks you to choose a specific academic program(s) and provide additional information pertinent to your current/previous college work. The Lesley College Supplement is also needed for your tentative credit evaluation.
- Official Transcripts: Please have the registrar from all current/previously attended institutions issue an official copy of your transcript(s). This includes both secondary school and all colleges attended.
- Statement of Good Standing: Please have the dean at the college most recently attended submit a statement indicating that you are in good academic and social standing.
- Recommendations: Please submit two recommendations, at least one from a college professor and one from a personal reference. Recommendation forms are enclosed in the application packet.
- Catalog: Please provide the Transfer Coordinator with course descriptions for all college courses eligible for transfer. If sending an academic catalog please clearly mark all courses proposed for transfer.
- Personal Interview: A personal interview with an admissions counselor is a great way to get to know you beyond your academic record. Although interviews are not required as part of the admissions application; it will give you a valuable opportunity to see the campus, experience the atmosphere of the community, and get direct answers to all your questions.
