Campus Visits and InterviewsVisiting a college campus is one of the most important steps in the college search process! It gives you the chance to look beyond viewbooks and Web sites, to see things first-hand, to talk with students and faculty--to envision yourself as a college student. We encourage prospective students and their families to visit the Lesley campus. Visits are welcome anytime, although you'll certainly get the most out of your visit if you come during the academic year when school is in session. You'll be able to get a feel for a "typical" day in the life of a Lesley College student. The list below gives you an idea of some of the available visit options, apart from more formalized open house programs which are held throughout the year. Personal Interview An interview is the perfect opportunity to tell us more about you, and to ask any and all questions that may help you determine whether Lesley is the right fit. With the exception of a few holiday periods, interview appointments are available Monday through Friday throughout the year. Please call the Office of Admissions in advance to schedule a personal interview. An interview is not required as part of the application process. Off-Campus Interviews Can't make it to campus to interview? Admissions counselors have planned off-campus interview nights in the following areas this fall: Bergen County, NJ- Tuesday, September 15, 2009 Don't see your area on this list? Our counselors travel all over the US and would be happy to arrange an appointment (time and schedule permitting). To schedule an off-campus interview please email Admissions Counselor Kate Kalber at kkalber@lesley.edu. Information Sessions Admissions counselors periodically hold information sessions for students and their families throughout the calender year. These sessions strive to provide insight into a broad range of topics and aim to acquaint participants with Lesley College as a whole. After an informal presentation, prospective students and their families are invited to get their specific questions answered by an admissions staff member. Campus Tour Our student tour guides offer campus tours Monday through Friday throughout the year, with the exception of a few holiday periods, and most Saturday mornings during the academic year. Walking tours of campus take just over an hour. Tour times vary throughout the year; please call in advance of your visit for specific times. Class Visit Prospective students are welcome to attend classes most weekdays (between October 1 and mid-November; and mid February-mid April) during the academic year (with the exception of exam periods and holidays). Please call the Office of Admissions at least two weeks ahead of the date on which you hope to visit. This will allow us to schedule classes that are most closely related to the academic programs in which you are interested. Class visits are reserved for applicants and those who have been offered admission to Lesley College. Overnight Visit We encourage students to take advantage of the opportunity to stay overnight in one of our residence halls with a current student to experience Lesley "after hours". We'll also arrange for you to attend a class or two the following day. Visits are scheduled for one night, and are available Sunday through Thursday (between October 1 and mid-November; and mid February-mid April) throughout the academic year (with the exception of exam periods and holidays). To arrange for an overnight visit, please call the Office of Admissions at least two weeks in advance of the date on which you hope to visit. Overnight visits are reserved for applicants and those who have been offered admission to Lesley College. Meeting with a Specific Member of the Lesley Community While visiting, if you would like to meet with a specific member of the Lesley community, the Office of Admissions would be happy to schedule an appointment for you. Possibilities include a faculty member from a particular discipline, member of the athletics office, or a staff member from the Center for Academic Achievement. Please call the Office of Admissions in advance of your visit to schedule one of these meetings. General Visit Information

Your visits are welcome throughout the year, Monday through Saturday, and we encourage you to personalize your experience in order to fully investigate the areas of most interest to you. We would like you to meet as many people, participate in as many classes, talk with as many professors, and take in as much information as you can.
