Growing up in a small town in New Hampshire, Ed loved the idea of coming to a small school in a big city. He also loves the opportunities he’s found to motivate people in and out of the classroom. Through a course called Studio Influx, Ed and other students use their design skills to create materials for real nonprofit organizations. Ed has also joined Big Brothers/Big Sisters and organized a dodge ball club at Lesley that has attracted many other students, and school funding. Now matches occur regularly on Friday nights. "I want to be involved, connected and add to the community," he says. "You just have to be outgoing — if you see an opportunity, go for it." |
