International Student Application Procedure

Because of our commitment to a diverse campus population, Lesley College welcomes applications from international students. International applicants must apply by the same deadlines as US first year or transfer students.

In addition to the credentials required for first year and transfer applicants, an international student must also submit:

  • Test of English Proficiency: For students whose native language is not English, an official copy of the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) must be submitted. A minimum TOEFL test score of 173 (computer based) or 61 (internet based test) is required for admission in order to ensure a student's ability to participate successfully in the Lesley curriculum.
  • Certification of Finances: Because financial aid is not available for international students, each applicant must submit a certification of finances from a bank stating that they have sufficient funds available to cover the cost of a Lesley education. (Approximately $36,000 per year if a residential student.)photo

An I-20 form (necessary for obtaining a U.S. student visa), will be provided only after the student has been accepted and has submitted both the certification of finances and the required enrollment deposit signifying intent to enroll.
