Luke Baldwin - Our colleague Luke Baldwin, to whom we dedicate this issue, passed away in June, 1998. At the time of his passing he was Provost and Associate Professor at Lesley College, Cambridge, MA.


Linda Brion-Meisels is a Professor of Education in the Center for Peaceable Schools at Lesley College in Cambridge, MA.


Wade A. Carpenter is a member of the faculty in the School of Education and Human Sciences at Berry College, Georgia.


Donna Cole is Associate Director of the Learning Center and Assistant Professor of Humanities at Lesley College, Cambridge, MA.


Jim Cummins is a Professor at the University of Toronto, Canada.


Mary Ann Johnson is a doctoral student at Lesley College. Her areas of interest include learning and development of the veteran literacy teacher within inquiry-oriented environments and emergent literacy learning in urban settings.


Brenda G. Matthis is an Advanced Doctoral Fellow in the Harvard Graduate School of Education.


Sarah Nieves-Squires is Associate Professor in the Adult Baccalaureate College at Lesley College, Cambridge, MA.


Angela María Pèrez-Mejía, is a Professor of Latin American Literature and Culture at Brandeis University, Waltham, MA.
