Fitness Education and Awareness

Mind / Body Connections and Interpersonal Skills

  • Communication Skills Workshops: "Compassionate Communication" and "Dealing with Negative People" with Katherine Zitterbart, CYT, MA.
Communication is more than what you say - it's HOW you say it. Whether supervisor or supervisee, whether faculty or student, stress-free and mindful communication is a powerful tool which can help you be more clear, understand people better, and resolve conflict. Develop strategies and skills for effective communication in difficult situations and with difficult people in both personal and professional settings.

Nutrition Education and Awareness

  • Life is Sweet! Sugar Alternatives - Dillan DiGiovanni, CHC, presented a workshop covering habits and cravings, diet and behavior changes, and natural alternatives to refined sugar.
  • Healthy Eating 101 - Healthy Eating Specialists from Whole Foods presented a workshop covering basic topics from better food choices to substitutions to portion proportions, complete with recipes and a cooking demonstration.
