Become a highly effective high school educator. Learn to work with diverse student populations, think critically, and engage actively with educational technologies.
Student performance in high school is of paramount importance to administrators, educators, and parents. High school teachers must have a firm grasp on subject matter, pedagogy, educational technologies, and current research and theories on adolescence, as well as an understanding of the culture of the high school as an organization. The high school programs have strong liberal arts underpinnings, and feature instruction in such areas as adolescent development, equity, learning communities, teaching English language learners, educational technology, and literacy for diverse learners.
