An Introduction to Guided Reading in an Effective Literacy Program (Grades 3–8) is a graduate-level course that takes an in-depth look at how to use guided reading in an intermediate or middle classroom. The course focuses on observing and analyzing reading behaviors for effective instruction as well as understanding the parts of a guided reading lesson and how each element helps students become more effective readers. You can take this course for noncredit and earn 35 professional development hours, or receive graduate credit for an additional fee and by completing an assignment.

Graduate Credit Registration
Step 1: Register with the Center for Reading Recovery and Literacy Collaborative.
