Intercultural Relations Program Offerings
The 36-credit Master of Arts Program has three principal components: core courses, elective courses, and an internship. In addition, there is a non-credit language requirement. The six core courses introduce the knowledge, learning experiences, and technical skills that form the foundation of study. To accomplish its meaningful agenda, the program offers an exciting balance of theoretical and experiential training in a culturally rich educational environment. Field-based work is an integral part of the curriculum.
The 36-credit Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study Program is designed for experienced professionals who hold a master's degree in an area closely related to intercultural relations and wish to expand their research skills and knowledge in the field.
Students may enroll in the Program on a full-time or part-time basis. Students are encouraged to take no more than nine credits a semester as the optimum learning process. Courses are offered on Lesley University's Cambridge campus during the late afternoon, 4-6:30 p.m. and in the evening, 6:45 - 9:15 p.m.
- Students most often complete the program in two years.
- Part-time students, or students completing an extended internship, may take two years or more to complete the program.
- Students may opt to write a thesis after completing the internship, which can fulfill three credits toward elective requirements.
