Branca Telles Ribeiro, Faculty, received her Ph.D. from Georgetown University. Her research has explored such areas as the interaction and conflicts between doctors and patients in a clinical setting, erotic strategies of powerless women, and idealized identities of female psychiatric patients. Currently she is a co-investigator on a research project exploring cross-cultural communication and access to health care for Brazilian immigrant women.
