I have a great passion and interest in exploring the impact singing in educational settings and the possibility and value of creating all-inclusive singing communities. The focus of my dissertation research was and continues to be to investigate the meaning of singing with the outcome of changing the ways singing is perceived, nurtured and implemented in classrooms. I have spent many years advocating for integrating the arts in education as a way to enhance learning for students of all abilities. I have taught for Creative Arts for ten years and find the program to be unique, creative, challenging and stimulating. It also provides an excellent venue for exploration and implementing the arts through theory and practice. I currently teach the following courses in the Creative Arts in Learning program in our on and off campus programs: Integrated Arts Approaches in the Curriculum, Multiple Perspectives Through Music, Arts and the Special Needs Child, and Educator Inquiry: Seminar and Thesis Project.
