Mitchell KossakAssistant Professor and Division Director, Division of Expressive Therapies Co-Chair The Institute For Body, Mind and Spirituality Ph.D., Union University and Institute; M.A., Lesley University; B.A., Alfred University, New York; Licensed Mental Health Counselor (617) 349-8167 I am the Division Director for Expressive Therapies including specialzation in integrated arts, music therapy, art therapy, dance therapy and psychodrama/drama therapy in the Master's program and low residency PhD program. I am a licensed mental health counselor, and nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork. My clinical work combines expressive arts therapies with body-centered approaches with a variety of populations. My doctoral studies was in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Concentration in Psychology and a Specialization in Transpersonal Psychology and Expressive Arts Therapies. My current research focuses on art based improvisational structures that can lead toward and enhance therapeutic attunement. I am also a professional musician, performing regularly in the Boston area.
