mkossak@lesley.edu

I am the Academic Coordinator of the International Expressive Therapies program. I have been in this position since June 1999. In addition to my role as academic coordinator I also teach in Israel and in the on-campus program. Some of the courses I have taught since 1995 are: GEXTH 5010 Principles and Practices of Expressive Therapies; GEXTH 5102 Theories of Expressive Therapies; GEXTH 5119 Clinical Applications; GEXTH 7719: Supervision II and GEXTH 7721 Supervision III. You can check out my CV, or you can find out how I came to do this work.

I have presented my work and research at conferences nationally and internationally. I am a licensed mental health counselor, and nationally certified in therapeutic massage and body work. My clinical work combines expressive arts therapies with body centered approaches and energetic healing modalities with a variety of populations. I am also a professional musician, performing regularly in the Boston area and am currently pursuing a doctorate in psychology with a specialization in creativity and consciousness studies. My current research focuses on art based improvisational structures that can lead toward and enhance therapeutic attunement.
