I obtained my MA and PhD from Kansas State University and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (P.G.C.E.) from University of Leeds, UK. As a certified professional teacher, I love sharing my expertise in integrating drama into classroom teaching and learning with educators. I also have great passion for using what is known as theatre for development for the education, mobilization, and improvement of the lives of people in marginalized communities. I had previously taught at the University of Ghana, Legon in Ghana. I had great time there coordinating numerous theatre for development outreach projects connected with issues on health, adult illiteracy, teen pregnancy, and women's socio-economic improvement in inner-cities, villages, and towns in my home country Ghana. I modified this theatre technique to address multicultural and social issues through workshops in some elementary, middle, and high schools in the states of Washington, Arizona, and Kansas. Currently I teach Integrated Arts Approaches in the Curriculum, Drama for Empowerment, Drama and Critical Literacy, Drama for Educational and Social Change, Early Childhood Arts, History and Social Science, and the Educator Inquiry course. My research interests are centered around gender equity issues related to school curriculum, workplace, and national development with focus on Ghana.
