Robyn Flaum CruzAssociate Professor and Dance Therapy Coordinator, Expressive Therapies (617) 349-8413 I am the Coordinator for the Dance Therapy Specialization and Associate Professor in the Division of Expressive Therapies. I received my Ph.D. from The University of Arizona, my Master's in Dance Therapy from New York University, and my B.A. from George Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. I am Vice President of the American Dance Therapy Association, and Editor-in-Chief of The Arts in Psychotherapy. I am also a contributor and co-editor of Dance/Movement Therapists in Action: A Working Guide to Research Options (2004, Charles C. Thomas Publishers). My clinical work has spanned populations such as adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses and children and adolescents with trauma and substance abuse issues. My doctoral degree is in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Measurement and Methodology. I have worked as a research methodologist and research consultant, and have taught doctoral and other graduate courses in dance therapy, research methods, and statistics to students from many disciplines in the US and Europe. My interests are dance therapy and expressive therapies research using the broad range of methods that are available; research on movement disorders and their diagnostic potential; and incorporating research thinking and resources into clinical practice.
