Jenn BrownAudubon Expedition Institute, M.S., Lesley University (207) 338-5859 ext. 57 To AEI, Jenn has brought a commitment to inspiring empowerment, awareness and sustainability grounded in place by collaboratively weaving together compassion and a deep ecological perspective. Jenn began teaching high school sciences in 1982 for Montclair Kimberly Academy, and has taught at Unity College, College of the Atlantic, several years for AEI and Lesley University, in addition to work with the Chewonki Foundation. Jenn's interest in Asian culture and cuisine is reflected in her travel log: two years in Rayong, Thailand with the Peace Corps as an environmental specialist, wilderness travel experience in Nepal, Thailand, and India, as well as New Zealand, Santa Lucia, Canada and to many of the United States. Jenn speaks Nepali, as well as having training in the Thai language, and is certified as a Wilderness First Responder, and in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Jenn is in the process of designing her own passive solar home in Maine. She also has a passion for yoga and meditation, organic gardening, medicinal plants, and the guitar. She teaches in the AEI Field Program and is a senior faculty member. |
