Counseling and Psychology Administrative Staff

Division Office

John Gearin is the Assistant Director of Advising and Student Services for the Division of Counseling Psychology.  Prior to this, he worked for the Graduate Admissions Office at Lesley University as the Associate Director of Admissions Services.  He first came to Lesley in 1994 to pursue his undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies through the Adult Baccalaureate College (now known as the Adult Learning Division, ALD).  During his program, he chose to focus on how environmental policy and procedures impact society, the field of Ecopsychology, and environmental influences in music.  Prospective students may contact John with questions regarding the Counseling and Psychology Programs by telephone at (617) 349-8339 or (800) 999-1959 ext. 8339, or by email at jgearin@lesley.edu.

Jeremy Galvin, Administrative Coodinator for the Division Office. Jeremy is the initial contact person for the Counseling and Psychology Division, working closely with the Division Director, faculty, students and alumni. Karen Cullen-Malloch, Scheduling Coordinator. Karen ensures the effectiveness of administrative systems within the Division, and liaisons with adjunct faculty and university administrators. Her systems expertise has been utilized by cross-university administrative committees; Karen also assists with search committees within the Division. Field Training Office

Jill Ritchie, Associate Director of Field Training, holds a master's degree in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of North Colorado. A Licensed Mental Health Counselor, she maintains a private practice and has extensive experience in clinical supervision and administration. Her interests include adult development, education, wellness and spirituality. "The work of counseling is to honor and learn from the uniqueness of each individual, and to foster resiliency and hope with that person."

Catherine Moon Stalberg is the part-time Licensure Advisor for the Division of Counseling and Psychology and the Division of Expressive Therapies.  She has an M.S.W. from Simmons College School of Social Work.  Lesley students and graduates with questions regarding in-state and out-of-state licensure as mental health counselors can contact her by phone at (617) 349-8561 or (800) 999-1959 ext. 8561, or by email at license@lesley.edu.

Maureen McDonald, Administrative Assistant, provides administrative support to both the Counseling and Psychology Division and Expressive Therapies Division. She is the initial contact for Expressive Therapies students, site supervisors and faculty in both divisions. She maintains field training databases and processes site applications, internship contracts and evaluations.

Kathleen Meier, Field Training Coordinator, manages the administrative activities of the field training office. She develops operating policies and procedures for data management and workflow, and works closely with the Administrative Assistant of the Expressive Therapies Field Training Office to develop production deadlines. She acts as the administrative liasion for the Associate Director in regards to students, sites and site supervisors.
