GINTD 6044/EEDUC 6055: Courage to Teach Institute: Sustaining Professional Practice
This intensive course is for teachers, educational leaders, and other professionals and students who wish to explore their vocation and academic identity and vitality. Participants will experience the formative practices of Courage to Teach, explore the principles and social contexts behind this practice, and identify implications for their own work.
Dates: July 11-15, 2011 -- 9 am - 4pm each day
Location: Lesley University
Faculty: Sharlene Voogd Cochrane, Professor and Dean of Faculty.
Dr. Cochrane’s current research focus is U.S. social and educational history, especially the intersections of race, religion, and gender. She is a facilitator for a variety of Courage to Teach and Circle of Trust retreats.
