Creative Arts In Learning Program Offerings
The Lesley University Creative Arts in Learning Division offers Master's degree programs for initial or professional licensure in teacher of visual art, creative arts in learning (early childhood or elementary), and integrated teaching through the arts. A community arts Master's degree (non-licensure) is also available for people wishing a foundation in grant writing, fund raising, curriculum planning, and advocacy. Students who hold a Master's degree and wish to enhance their research and professional skills may elect to take the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) program. This program, offered in a cohort model, can also be used by educators to meet requirements of Education Specialist and other post-masters credentials.
The Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in Integrated Teaching Through the Arts can be taken either on campus or at one of many regional and national sites. A site in Netanya, Israel offers the same program to Israeli educators in Hebrew and English. The division also offers an Advanced Professional Certificate in Arts and Social Justice for school districts and individual schools. The on-campus Teacher of Visual Art programs are offered jointly by the Creative Arts in Learning Division and the Art Institute of Boston.
