ADMINISTRATORS AND STAFF
 |
I am a visual artist, a ceramic sculptor, calligrapher, and photographer and exhibit regularly. The creative process is important to me. I combine my love of art history and creating art with my educational philosophy. For over 30 years I have approached life both as an artist and educator. I have been teaching for the Creative Arts in Learning Program for 20 years, first as an adjunct and now as national faculty. When teaching I try to encourage students to find their voices through the arts and the creative process. I teach the following courses: Integrated Arts Approaches in the Curriculum, Educator Inquiry: Seminar and Thesis Project, Arts and Visual Inquiry, Arts and Children with Special Needs, Arts and Human Development , and Arts Approach to Multicultural Education. As a faculty academic advisor, I hope to help students through their Lesley journey.

As the Assistant Director for Creative Arts in Learning, I coordinate the academic advising and student services, and serve on the division's administrative leadership team. I received an Interdisciplinary Studies Master of Arts degree from Lesley specializing in multicultural education and culture studies. As a reflective practitioner, my interests are in ethnography and oral histories, family stories and traditions, and women's history, and immigration. When away from Lesley, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling to Bermuda and San Diego, and collecting sea glass and shells.
