Imagine: Expression in the Service of Humanity, Moving Towards Forgiveness

April 27-28, 2007
Lesley University
Cambridge, Massachusetts

Cosponsored by

Conference Overview

The conference focused on the transformative aesthetic and psychological powers of the arts on conflict and healing. People committed to change and social justice in these troubled times were offered an opportunity to gather together to express their creative visions of the future.  As we imagine and creatively express our visions of peace, hope, collaboration, forgiveness, reconciliation and compassion, we take small steps towards making them a reality in the world that will affect others.

This conference continued conversations generated last April in Israel at the Imagine: Expression in the Service of Humanity conference, which focused on creative approaches to working with conflict in groups in general and with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in particular.

Martin Doblmeier, Director/Producer of The Power of Forgiveness presented excerpts of his film and speak about forgiveness in a special session at the conference. In addition, representatives from The Campaign for Love & Forgiveness presented a workshop focusing on forgiveness.
