Information about off-campus programs in Massachusetts and New England
If you live in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine, but not near Lesley's Cambridge campus, you can take advantage of one of our off-campus learning sites to take a Master of Education or licensure-only program leading to Initial licensure. In our weekend-format programs, you take one course at a time in an eight-week semester, meeting just one weekend a month (Saturday and Sunday from 8 am-5 pm). Start and finish the program in a close-knit community of students, building a network of colleagues and teachers you can stay connected to long after graduation. Designed for the busy adult, the weekend format allows you to know your exact schedule for the entire length of the program before you begin. See below for programs and sites; all programs listed are Master of Education unless otherwise indicated. NEW! As of March 2015, we are offering Thursday evening M.Ed. programs and professional development courses at our new learning site in Wakefield, MA. Courses will be held in eight-week terms. Lesley was the perfect choice for me because of the flexibility of the weekend courses. The professors were wonderful and understanding that the class consisted of full time teachers, mothers, grandmothers, etc. with many obligations. The classes were designed for working teachers. I was able to integrate new material in my classroom after every course. Well designed handouts, websites, etc. were always available to enrich the classes. I grew professionally through the Lesley University Master's Degree Program as I fully embraced change and was committed to learning about best practices in Education. Lesley presented information that was on the cutting edge of Education. I gained a confidence in myself that I was doing what was best for kids. And.....I had fun. The 18 month experience was years ago, but the relationships formed during that time are forever. Lesley University encourages teachers to be life long learners. This is a philosophy I totally embrace.
