Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Test Score Requirements

A TOEFL examination is required for all applicants whose native language is not English.

Graduate programs (Master's, C.A.G.S., A.P.C, or Ph.D.):

  • Applicants who have completed degree programs in English at the college or university level may qualify to have the TOEFL requirement waived. If this is not noted on your transcript, please request a letter from the registrar at your college or university stating that your language of instruction was English.

Undergraduate programs (Adult Learning Division, Learning Community Bachelor's or Online Programs):

  • Applicants who have graduated from high school or secondary school programs taught in English may qualify to have the TOEFL requirement waived. If this is not noted on your transcript, please request a letter from the registrar at your college or university stating that your language of instruction was English.
  • A minimum score of 550 for the paper-based test, 213 for the computer-based test, or 80 for the internet-based test, is required for admission.
