This statement is not meant to be a personal autobiography. You should discuss your work in terms of the art issues and ideas that your work addresses. The essay should be 1,500 words maximum. For example: which artists or movements have influenced you? How has your work changed over time? What are your goals for your work? What do you hope to accomplish in an MFA program?"
