Dr. Liu-Constant is an experienced early childhood educator, who has taught children ages 3 to 8 in Taiwan and the United States. Trained as a cultural researcher at Tufts University, she practices anti-bias education and strives to introduce multi-cultural perspectives to young children as well as graduate students. She is inspired by the Reggio Emilia schools in Italy, and experienced documentation as a powerful tool for understanding children’s learning and development, for teacher research and reflection, and for building connections with families and the community. She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
Her bicultural experience has deepened her understanding of cultural impact on a personal level, and has helped her facilitate professional connections between educators in the United States, Taiwan, and China.
