Dr. Knickles is particularly interested in the causes and prevention of chronic disease in adults both in the developed and developing world. She also has a strong interest in nutrition and nutrition research. As a health educator, she is concerned with the health and health care disparities among our underserved ethnic minorities and believes that with the increasing diversity in the U.S. the future health of the country will be greatly influenced by the efforts we make to eliminate these disparities. When she is not teaching at Lesley she is involved in workplace health screenings and the health education of employees.
