I derive great satisfaction working with film, video and sound. I have always been fascinated with human communication, with "storytelling". I started shooting Super 8 films in 1967 and working with recording audio tape earlier then that. I am captivated with the Auditory and Visual arena in all its many myriad forms. As part of my job as Video Production Manager for EVS from 1996-2002, I trained many videographers in video and audio production, and thoroughly enjoyed the teaching process. When I was asked to teach video at Lesley I was excited for the opportunity. Teaching students gives them power and control over their work. Technical knowledge is a necessary part of the creative process. My philosophy is that learning is a life long adventure, one that opens doors in the mind as well as the world. If I can engage my students in the learning process and leave them with a desire to know more I have been successful.
