Fun Facts:
I enjoy following local, state and national politics and I am active in my local town politics. In my spare time I enjoy maintaining my home and yard. My favorite way to vacation is on a cruise ship and I’ve enjoyed numerous Atlantic, Caribbean and Pacific cruises.
I began as an adjunct instructor with Lesley in 1998 with the School of Management (SOM) and now with the College of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies.
In addition to Lesley I have taught a variety of Management-based courses at a large number of greater Boston schools. My teaching experience spans from the traditional undergraduate student to the adult learner. I have both designed and redesigned courses in management and marketing and have transformed classes from the traditional face-to-face to both hybrid and online formats. In addition to my teaching background I have extensive experience in academic advising for both undergraduate and graduate level students of management and education.
Prior to my academic positions I had extensive industry experience, having held several director-level management positions in the software development industry and other service-oriented organizations with expertise in general management and client services. I have also served as a partner and Vice-President of a marketing import company. I am native to the North Shore of Massachusetts and presently live in Danvers.
My philosophy on teaching management principles is to incorporate as much contemporary real-time examples as possible and to challenge the student to apply the concepts learned through writings, case studies and projects rather than an emphasis on administering traditional exams.
