As an educator for over 30 years, my philosophy of education has evolved, expanded and hopefully, improved. I began my teaching career in public school, and have now moved into the world of higher education. In both, however, I have found that as long as I keep the students’ needs first and foremost in my pedagogy, my purpose and my philosophy, I will make a difference. I am a firm believer in hard work and have high expectations for all my students. I am also convinced that educational technology is providing teachers the opportunity to teach (and learn) in a digital environment that is purposeful, enabling our students to be prepared for real-world opportunities. I love to teach in both face-to-face and online environments, and that, I believe, makes the job easier, more enjoyable, and yet still a challenge each day, a challenge to which I look forward.
