• The ability to enter grades directly in the spreadsheet rather than going to another page
• Column headings and student names remain visible as you scroll through the spreadsheet
• An email feature to email students directly from the Grade Center
• A Grade History to review when grades were updated

The Grade Center spreadsheet is where instructors can enter in and calculate student grades. Each student has his/her own row, and each grade item has its own column in the spreadsheet.

Discussion Board

• Course discussions can now be arranged in Tree View or in List View.

• New columns are available, indicating a forum or thread subscription, flagged items, grades and added tags.
• New display options allow users to view a certain number or all discussion posts, and show all tags.

• Several new options are available in the forum settings, including post tagging (instructors only), replying with quote, and a subscription option for the entire forum.
• The Date column indicates the exact time of the latest change or addition to the forum.

• Additional icons are included for Quote and Set Flag.
• Users can navigate to both the next thread/post and previous thread/post.

The Collections page includes several new features:

• The Filter action bar includes filters for Author, Status, Read status, and Tags, and can be sorted by a number of options in ascending or descending order.
• An area for Tags allows instructors to add tags to posts and displays the tags associated with a specific post.

• The search field is now a collapsible area that users can hide when not in use, and it is now possible to search by time.
  
• The unread posts column is now a clickable number that directs users to the text of unread posts in the discussion forum or thread.
  
• New icons are available on the action toolbar, including Mark as Read, Mark as Unread, Subscribe and Unsubscribe (*only when thread subscriptions is turned on under forum settings).
