TEACHER CERTIFICATION FOR EDUCATORS in TEXAS
An educator holding a valid (Provisional, Professional, Standard, or One-Year) Texas classroom teaching certificate and a bachelor's degree may add classroom certification areas by successfully completing the appropriate certification examination(s) for the area(s) sought. More than one area can be added at a time for one fee. This is called Additional Certification by Examination.
Endorsement Earned Through Content Testing
The Lesley programs listed below will help you prepare for the test, and more importantly, to be a confident and effective educator. You must register for the test through the Educational Testing Service. After you have taken and passed the test and the scores appear in your account, you need to add that area to the existing certificate.
Please note it is important that students interested in earning an endorsement through Lesley programs contact the Texas Education Agency prior to registration to ensure that you are informed of the certification requirements needed to receive an endorsement.
