Visit www.education.nh.gov for a full list of New Hampshire endorsement areas.
There are five alternatives for adding an additional field to your educator certificate. Alternative 2 and 4 are applicable to an educator completing a Lesley University program.
Alternative 2 is an Institutional Recommendation and Alternative 4 is a process restricted to the Critical Shortage Areas. See below for additional details on applying via the two alternatives mentioned above.
Endorsement Earned Through Institutional Recommendation
An educator may obtain an endorsement in the areas below by successfully completing the corresponding Lesley program. Applicants should submit to the New Hampshire teacher licensing office your official transcripts and application, choosing Alternative 2 as the pathway.
Educator in Math, grades 5-8 endorsement - Student must complete the full M.Ed. Mathematics in Education program.
Middle Level Science, grades 5-9 endorsement - Student must complete the full M.Ed. Science in Education program.
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsement - Student must complete the full APC TESOL program or full M.Ed. Individually Designed TESOL program, with 18-credits in TESOL courses.
Please note it is important that students interested in earning an endorsement through Lesley programs contact the New Hampshire Department of Education prior to registration to ensure that you are informed of the certification requirements needed to receive an endorsement.
