TEACHER CERTIFICATION FOR EDUCATORS in NEBRASKA
An endorsement in Nebraska is an area of specialization on a certificate based on completion of an approved teacher education program.
You may add an endorsement in one of the following two options:
Option 1. Institutional Verification: If applying for the FULL endorsement, an institutional verification must be completed by the Certification Officer at the approved teacher education institution where the approved program was completed; and forward OFFICIAL transcripts indicating the coursework completed for the approved program. Lesley University is listed on the Nebraska Department of Education site as an accepted institution offering online educational programs.

Endorsement Earned Through Institutional Recommendation
An educator may obtain a Nebraska endorsement in the areas listed below by successfully completing the corresponding Lesley program and by following Option 1, detailed above. Applicants should submit to the Nebraska teacher licensing office your completed Institutional Verification form, official transcripts, and online application.
Information Technology (K-12) - To be eligible for this endorsement, students must complete the full M.Ed. in Educational Technology program.
Students interested in earning the Middle Level Mathematics or Natural Science endorsement, must complete the full master's program to be eligible. Students interested in earning the ESL endorsement, must complete Lesley's 18-credit TESOL program.
Please note it is important that students interested in earning an endorsement through Lesley programs contact the Nebraska Department of Education prior to registration to ensure that you are informed of the certification requirements needed to receive an endorsement.
