TEACHER CERTIFICATION FOR EDUCATORS in MONTANA

In Montana, the term "Endorsement" means an official indication on a license of the subject area(s) and/or specialized program area(s) for which the holder of the license is authorized to practice in Montana accredited schools.

Follow these steps to add an endorsement without an internship:

  • Contact a university's accredited educator preparation program offering the endorsement you wish to add.
  • Complete the specific coursework
  • Work with the university's licensure official to submit the documentation required to add the endorsement to OPI. Application for a Montana Class 1 or 2 Educator License.
