Directions to Quad Campus and Porter Campus

Subway:

Complete information on bus, subway, and commuter rail schedules is available on the MBTA web site.

• Take the MBTA Red Line or Commuter Rail Fitchburg Line to the Porter Square stop.
• Exit the station on the left and turn left onto Massachusetts Avenue. University Hall is be one-half block down on your left at 1815 Massachusetts Avenue. Student Services is located on the third floor.
• To reach the Quad Campus, walk south on Massachusetts Avenue approximately seven blocks. Turn left onto Mellen Street.

Car:

Parking at and near Lesley University is very limited. We encourage visitors and students to use public transportation if possible. If you will be driving, please allow extra time for parking.

Driving From the North or South:

• Follow Interstate 93 to Exit 26 - Storrow Drive.
• Follow Storrow Drive West to the Harvard Square Exit.
• Turn right at the end of the offramp.
• Cross the Charles River and continue straight onto John F. Kennedy Street.
• Continue into Harvard Square.
• Follow directions from Harvard Square (below).

Driving From the West:

• Take Interstate 90 East (Massachusetts Turnpike) to Exit 18 - Allston/Cambridge. The exit will be on the left.
• After the toll booth, bear right on the exit ramp. Follow the signs for Boston, Cambridge, Somerville.
• Proceed straight onto the bridge, crossing the Charles River. Immediately at the end of the bridge, turn left onto Memorial Drive.
• Follow Memorial Drive for approximately 1/2 mile.
• At the third light turn right onto John F. Kennedy Street.
• Continue straight into Harvard Square.
• Follow the directions from Harvard Square (below).

Driving From Harvard Square:

• Proceed straight through Harvard Square.
• When the road forks, bear left onto Massachusetts Avenue (2A West). Move to the right lane.
• Proceed north and turn right onto Mellen Street to reach the Quad Campus.
• To reach University Hall (1815 Massachusetts Avenue), continue approximately seven blocks. The building will be on your right.

• Take the MBTA Red Line to the Harvard Square station.
• Inside the station, follow signs for Brattle Sq. Exit
• At street level, turn right onto Brattle Street. Follow Brattle Street to the intersection with Mason Street (about 3/10 of a mile). The campus will be on your right.

From all points North, South, West:

• Follow directions above to Harvard Square.
• Turn left at Harvard Square.
• Proceed one block and turn right onto Brattle Street.
• Follow Brattle Street .3 miles. The campus will be on your right.

Walking:

From Quad Campus:

• Walk south on Massachusetts Avenue, heading toward Harvard Square.
• As you reach the Cambridge Common (park, not restaurant), turn right onto Waterhouse Street.
• Follow Waterhouse Street along the par, turning right onto Garden Street.
• Follow Garden Street one block. Turn left on Berkeley Street immediately after the Sheraton Commander Hotel.
• The campus is located at the end of Berkeley Street.

To The Art Institute of Boston

Subway:

• Use any MBTA Green Line B, C or D train to reach the Kenmore Square stop.
• At street level, walk west toward Beacon Street, keeping your back to the downtown skyline. You will pass a Pizzaria Uno on the left.
• The Art Institute of Boston is 150 yards up on the right, located at 700 Beacon Street with blue and orange banners on the front.

Driving from the West:

• Use Interstate 90 East (Mass Pike) to Exit 22 - Copley Square. Follow signs for Copley.
• Immediatly after the offramp, turn left onto Dartmouth Street.
• Drive straight on Dartmouth for 4 blocks. Turn left onto Commonwealth Avenue.
• Drive 9 blocks straight on Commonwealth Avenue through Kenmore Square.
• The Art Institute of Boston is 150 yards down Beacon Street away from Kenmore Square.

Driving from the North or South:

• Follow Interstate 93 to Exit 26 - Storrow Drive.
• Use Storrow Drive West to the Kenmore Square exit.
• Bear right on the offramp, staying at street level onto Charlesgate Drive West.
• At the light, turn right onto Beacon Street.
• Go straight three blocks on Beacon Street through Kenmore Square.
• AIB is 150 yards down Beacon Street away from Kenmore Square.
