Commencement 2013 at Lesley University
Welcome to the 2013 Lesley University Commencement website! On Saturday, May 18, 2013 we welcomed our graduating students into Lesley’s alumni family.
In our morning ceremony, we honored the students from the Graduate School of Education and the Graduate School of Arts and Social Sciences. Later that afternoon, we honored students from the College of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies and The Art Institute of Boston. The ceremonies took place at the Bank of America Pavilion on the Boston Waterfront.
Morning Graduate Ceremony
The morning ceremony graduates were addressed by Honorary Degree recipients Paul Reville, former Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a member of the Senior Faculty at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education; and Reverend Liz Walker, an Emmy Award-winning television journalist, documentary film producer, humanitarian and co-founder of My Sister’s Keeper, an advocacy organization for women and children in Sudan.
Afternoon Undergraduate Ceremony
The afternoon ceremony graduates were addressed by Honorary Degree recipients Graham Nash, legendary singer-songwriter and co-founder of the Grammy Award-winning group Crosby, Stills & Nash; and David McCullough, Pulitzer Prize-winning author and historian and recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian award.
