Advanced training in a foreign language allows you to use another language in cultural exchange, research, and work.
We offer a Certificate of Foreign Language Study to current undergraduate students in 7 languages: Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, American Sign Language, and Chinese. The certificate will be noted on your transcript and you'll receive a printed certificate.

We recommend you file your intention to earn a Foreign Language Certificate as early as when you declare a major. You'll benefit from planning ahead and taking courses in consecutive terms, so you don't lose ground between courses. This is especially important in the early stages of language study.
If you are a Spanish Minor, you are not eligible for a Certificate in Spanish but you could obtain one in any other of the languages offered.
