In July of 2016, the university formally named Dr. Irene Fountas the first recipient of the Marie M. Clay Endowed Chair in Reading Recovery. The endowed Clay Chair honors a pioneer in the field of literacy following in the footsteps of Marie M. Clay, who revolutionized approaches to early literacy. Graduate Credit and Professional Development Points (PDPs)

Noncredit Option
You will receive a certificate of attendance which can be converted to Professional Development Points (PDPs) in your school district.

Graduate Credit Option
In Massachusetts, 1 semester hour of graduate credit= 22.5 PDPs. If you teach outside of Massachusetts, please check with your state’s Department of Education for more information on graduate credits and PDPs.
