Competition That's Both Fierce and Fun

Last season, Jonathan Cruz (#1) led a competitive Lynx squad in assists Lesley big man Malcolm Andrews (#3) captained the men's basketball team in 2008-2009 Women's soccer recorded a 16-win season in 2008 thanks to Cathryn Folkestad's (#5) stingy defense Conference Rookie of the Year Jenna Fralick (#9) looks to lead the Lynx back to NECC Championship Matthew Grassa has been a leader on the court, in the classroom, and in the community

Our NCAA Division III teams compete in the New England Collegiate Conference, and yes, we value winning (visit our Athletics website and you'll see we've been winning a lot lately!). But win or lose, we also value personal growth, teamwork and preparing student athletes for life after college

Winning in many ways

Whether it's basketball, volleyball or cross-country running, sports are a big part of life at Lesley. Athletic events bring out the best in our community, from supportive students, faculty, and often the University's president, to the high level of competition you'll see on the field, and the courts. We're especially proud of our coaches who work to foster the self-respect and self-discipline that's essential to succeed in all aspects of life.

You don't have to compete to play

Want to really have some fun? Step off the NCAA athletic field and play to your heart's content. You're into it? Chances are there are people playing it right this minute.

Competition takes on a whole new meaning

Sometimes 'sports' can be a relative term. Some of the athletic endeavors you can take on here include Ultimate Frisbee or Vinyasa yoga; spend your nights bowling, dancing, or exercising your voice at a speech and poetry jam. Duck, dive, and dip your way through dodgeball or join friends for a day of snowboarding. Perform, swim, excel at wiffleball, or grab your XBox and hang in one of the lounges on campus.
