Students with self-designed majors satisfy their individual research and educational objectives through a combination of interdisciplinary and independent studies. They are required to formulate clearly an area of interest and develop a coherent plan of study. The formal proposal for this plan must include: an introductory statement, a clear description of what they plan to concentrate in and why this area makes sense and meets their learning goals, and a discussion of potential independent studies or internships. Students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 may submit an application for the program in their second semester at Lesley.
