The collection consists of materials in Fine Arts, Photography, Illustration and Graphic Design. There is a circulating Picture File of 10,000+ photo images, and a Vertical File of current exhibition catalogs and pamphlets on art and artists. The AIB library belongs to Fenway Library Consortium, consisting of 15 libraries to which AIB students have borrowing privileges. Fenway Library Online enables AIB patrons to get books through interlibrary loan. AIB library also provides access to a growing collection of electronic full text databases.
AIB students have access to the Eleanor DeWolfe Ludcke Library at Lesley University's Cambridge campus as well. This library supports the academic programs of the university through a collection of books, journals, multimedia, and electronic resources. All of these resources are available to AIB students on and off the AIB campus. The Kresge Center for Teaching Resources, one of the best collections of its kind in the Northeast, is located on the second floor of the Ludcke Library. The Kresge Center houses juvenile books, teaching aids, instructional kits, recordings, videotapes, and other materials designed for us by students in their professional placements.
