Through our ongoing and ambitious exhibition program, AIB offers students and the Boston community the chance to appreciate the work of renowned artists from around the world as well as works by alumni, students, faculty, and emerging artists.
Exhibits of student work in all visual media are displayed throughout the year in the student galleries: the Main Gallery at 700 Beacon Street, Gallery South (located in the basement of 700 Beacon), the Gallery at University Hall in Porter Square, and 601 Newbury Street. Students also have the opportunity to assist with mounting exhibitions and personally meet visiting artists.
Each year, the BFA graduate exhibitions hangs on the same walls that held retrospectives of celebrated artists such as German Expressionist Kathe Kollwitz, illustrator Edward Gorey, Brazilian filmmaker Miguel Rio Branco, and graphic designer Paula Scher.
