Transfer Student Application Procedure
The College of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies (formerly called Lesley College) will accept a maximum of 90 credits. A
minimum of 120 credits are required for graduation. Most students take
five courses per semester, with the majority of Lesley's courses being 3
credit classes.
Admission to the College of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies is based upon academic performance,
personal and professional goals, and their relationship to the area of
study. Typically, accepted transfer students have maintained, at a
minimum, a 2.5 or higher cumulative grade point average in previous
college-level work.
Application Deadlines:
Spring Admission - December 1
International applicants preferred deadline for spring term - November 1.
Fall Admission - May 1
Applications will continue to be accepted after May 1 on a space-available basis.
Candidates Reply Date- June 1 (for fall semester)
January 10 (for spring semester)
If you are admitted and wish to enroll at Lesley, a nonrefundable
enrollment deposit of $300 for commuter students and $600 for resident
students is due
June 1.
Transfer Student Application Requirements
The College of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies is Common App exclusive; all applications and forms can be found on the Common Application website.
- Application Form: Complete the Common Application,
including a personal statement, and return it to the Lesley College
Office of Admissions with a $50 application fee. (Please make check
payable to Lesley University.) Apply online and the $50 fee will be
waived.
- The College of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies Supplement [pdf]
asks you to choose a specific academic program(s) and provide
additional information pertinent to your current/previous college work.
This Supplement is also needed for your tentative credit
evaluation.
- Official College Transcripts: Please have the registrar from all current/previously attended institutions issue an official copy of
your transcript(s). - Official High School Transcript: Please send us an official, final copy of your high school transcript (or equivalent GED).
- College Official’s Form: Please submit the College Official’s Form, this form should be completed by your Dean or person who has access to your academic and disciplinary record.
- Recommendations: Please submit two recommendations, one from a college professor [pdf] (preferably from your most recently attended institution) and one personal reference [pdf].
- Catalog: Please provide the Transfer Coordinator
with course descriptions for all college courses eligible for transfer.
If sending an academic catalog please clearly mark all courses proposed
for transfer.
- Personal Interview: A personal interview
with an admissions counselor is a great way to get to know you beyond
your academic record. Although interviews are not required as part of
the admissions application; it will give you a valuable opportunity to
see the campus, experience the atmosphere of the community, and get
direct answers to all your questions.
