If you are an international student and you want to earn a bachelor's degree in the United States, here's what you need to know about our application process and requirements.
If you are entering college as a first-year undergraduate student soon after finishing high school, or if you wish to transfer here from another school, you can apply to earn your Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Fine Arts in one of our many programs.
International students have specific application
requirements. We are here to assist you
through the process of applying, enrolling in a program, and transitioning to the United States.
Gathering the materials to apply to college takes time and, as
an international student, you will have additional requirements. Application deadlines for international students are sometimes earlier
than deadlines for U.S. students to account for these extra tasks. We
recommend you start the application process far in advance.
Application DeadlinesInternational undergraduate students applying for the January term (Spring) must apply by our preferred deadline of November 1. International students applying for September term (Fall) must apply by the same deadline as U.S. first-year or transfer students.
Once you have submitted an application, you will receive communication from the undergraduate admissions office. We will communicate the following information:
International students who transfer from one U.S. institution to Lesley—either in the middle of their academic program or upon completion of their undergraduate or graduate program and are directly enrolling in a program without leaving the United States—must complete and submit a Transfer Form [pdf] to our International Student Services Office. We will use your Transfer Form along with your other immigration documents to create a Form I-20 from Lesley University.
You will receive communication from our admissions office once we have received your Enrollment Deposit Contract, Residence Application, and financial deposit. We will send you a link to our online welcome packet that contains additional forms to complete (health forms, for example), orientation dates (orientation is mandatory for international students), and we will also help you begin the process of obtaining an F-1 Student Visa.
"The best thing about being an international student at Lesley is the way I have been welcomed into the community, which has helped to make my assimilation into Lesley and U.S. culture a lot easier."—Mark Montgomery, United KingdomCollege of Liberal Arts and Sciences
"[The College of Art and Design] is a great place to be because of the diversity of students and their majors. Also, the location gives students a chance to explore the richness of different cultures and arts in the city.—Umman Tyebjee, IndaCollege of Art and Design
All full-time students must submit several health-related forms before starting classes.
Download the health forms.
As an international student, once you arrive, you are legally required to attend orientation with our International Student Services Office. See when the next orientation is scheduled.
